The build
You build the Defender from the chassis up: the six-cylinder engine, the 4-speed sequential gearbox and the four-wheel drive system first, then the suspension, the winch and the interior, and finally the angular body and the spare wheel. Because the build is split into clear stages, it's easy to spread it over several sessions and pick it up where you left off. It's a relaxing, hands-on project that keeps you focused without a screen in sight.
What moves
This is one of the most mechanical builds in the collection. The six-cylinder has moving pistons, the 4-speed sequential gearbox drives all four wheels, and the suspension is independent front and rear. You steer it from the cockpit, the front winch works by hand, and the doors, bonnet and boot all open.
